LPCH RN Residency Program

at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital

LPCH RN Residency Starting Fall 2010:

At Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, an internationally recognized pediatric and obstetric facility in Palo Alto, California, we have partnered with Versant to develop the region's first RN Residency. This unique program goes beyond the traditional new graduate program by providing a comprehensive evidenced-based transition that prepares new graduate nurses for a highly complex and fast-paced acute care environment.

The 5 month RN Residency will provide you with a supportive network of senior nurses, preceptors, mentors and debriefers, to help augment your academic education with professional, clinical experience. Beyond one-on-one guided clinical experience with a preceptor, classes and skills lab education, and a structured mentor program, this unique residency offers an easy-to-use web portal and supportive self-care/debriefing groups.  Candidates for the Residency Program may also apply for the Ann L. Johnson Scholar Program. For more information, click here.
